Emergency Management Partners
Volunteer Florida partners with 501(c)(3), faith-based and other volunteer organizations to help Floridians respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters. To view our current partners, or to learn how to become a partner, please see below.
Partnering with Volunteer Florida is a great way to stay connected and informed when disasters occur. As a partner, Volunteer Florida will:
- Add your organization to a capabilities matrix and an email notification listing of all current MOU partners for use during any Emergency Management Operation or any activation of the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC);
- Notify you though the Florida Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (FLVOAD) when the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) activates the SEOC and Joint Field Office (JFO) and provide updates on activities as necessary;
- Solicit input from you regarding ESF 15 plans and operations when appropriate;
- Update you on any changes in Volunteer Florida ESF 15 personnel or contact information;
- Alert you of any grant opportunities available from the Florida Disaster Fund.
If you are a 501(c)(3), faith-based or other volunteer organization with an emergency management role and would like to become a partner, please email us at info@volunteerflorida.org with your organization’s information and a brief description of the role you play. You will receive a link to fill out an application for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to partner with us.
